Karma Yoga: Litter picking
Sun, 06 Aug
|Edinburgh
Karma yoga is the yoga of action, where we take our yoga practice off the mat and into the world. Karma yoga helps to humble the ego and open the heart by serving others and our community, without being attached to the outcome of our service. To start we will pick litter around Edinburgh.

About the event
When will the event take place and what will we do?
Our Karma Yoga practice will take place every first Sunday of the month. Our chosen Karma yoga service for the first few months will be litterpicking around Edinburgh (suggestions on areas that could do with a cleanup are welcome).
Where will we do our Karma yoga?
A few days before the event you will be given the chosen starting location for our Karma Yoga. We will spend about an hour litter picking mindfully, in silence. We will then practice a 10-15 minute meditation. We will finish by sharing our tea/snacks.
What to bring?
- Please bring bin bags with you (Gloves will be provided)
- Bring tea or snacks that we can share after the litter picking
- Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty
Other FAQ
There will NOT be any asana practice (practice of the yoga poses), so no need for a mat or specific yoga clothes - wear something comfy.
This event is of course free. But please let me know by siging up to the if you are planning on attending so I can estimate the number of gloves needed.
You will receive an email with the exact location closer to the event.
